Katherine Cram has been dancing since she was 3 learning the fundamentals of dance in at the Atlanta Ballet. She was introduced to the world of Irish Dance after moving to Seattle in 1996, and became an Irish Dance convert! Katherine started her Irish Dancing education with Erin Raney TCRG, and since continued on to dance with Peggy Weber O'Toole TMRF, Marie Gavaghan TMRF, Janelle Bruhn, and Kody Friedrich.

In addition to Irish Step Dancing, Katherine participates in a weekly Sean-Nós Dancing class in Capital Hill with Alicia Guinn, and frequents the Ballet, Modern, and Yoga classes at Westlake Dance Center.

Katherine began teaching Irish Step Dancing in January 2004 at Edmonds Parks and Recreation. There she created the Cladach (meaning seashore) Irish Dancers. Since that time, she has expanded her school to 7 different locations around Western Washington.
Katherine believes that Non-Competitive does not mean low-quality. She strives to constantly further her education as a dancer, whether in Irish or other types of dancing, so she can pass on her knowledge to her dancers.

Katherine specializes in working with Beginners and Kids. She is in charge of all of the Beginner classes for the Fall Schedule as well as co-instructing the Junior Company with Kody.

  Jessica Stanfield

Jessica has been dancing since she was a little girl and started Irish Dancing 7 years ago. She started out with a non-competitive group in Utah where she quickly moved into their Performance Company and started teaching Beginner and Advanced classes. After four years of this, she decided to try competitive Irish Dance with the Claddagh School of Irish Dance. After one year of competition she had made it to the Preliminary Championship level! While dancing with Claddagh she was an Assistant Teacher for all class levels.
In 2006, Jessica moved to Seattle so her husband could attend University of Washington. She then decided to take a break from competition and joined Bradan Irish Dancers. Outside of dance, Jessica is a teacher at Northwest School for Hearing Impaired Children. She also loves to travel, read, watch movies, eat ice cream, hike, and spend time with her family.

Jessica is our instructor for the Novice/Advanced class.
